Outsourced Marketing Agency Arrangement

We engaged with a Huntsville, AL accounting and advisory firm for a new name and logo in anticipation of a partner retirement. Our rebranding process with Anglin Reichmann Armstrong went so well that they continued working with us in anticipation of a target merger. They needed guidance on communications and public relations to announce their merger with a Pensacola, FL-based firm. We conducted interviews with leaders at both firms and provided consulting on M&A communications for their employees, their clients and the communities involved. After the merger announcement, the firm decided to retain our team for additional projects.

Outsourced Marketing Strategy

Working closely with Anglin Reichmann Armstrong’s managing partner, in-house business development and marketing team, we established a retainer of several hours each month to support a variety of projects. We created a marketing dashboard for them that outlines major business initiatives and the corresponding marketing activities to help attract new leads. This has included developing niche-focused programs to support the firm’s visibility in government contracting, R&D, business valuations and most recently client accounting and advisory services. This is the ongoing role that we play as their outsourced marketing agency, which is actively prioritizing and consulting on marketing activities in collaboration with their in-house director.

The retainer provides an open menu of options for Ingenuity to be an extension of the Anglin marketing and business development team. We help them plan for each quarter with ideas and guidance for larger firm goals and strategies. They can also count on our team for questions or requests throughout the week. It is a collaborative arrangement that is flexible for changing firm needs.

Outsourced Marketing Examples:

  • When the firm wanted to launch a new Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) niche, we were involved in the initial discussions about the structure of services, pricing, differentiators and target audiences. We have helped the firm develop a sell sheet, website page with calls to action and other messaging to help them concept the services.
  • We recommended strategies and implementation of a business valuation video series with a downloadable resource that supports service awareness as well as several new leads coming into the firm through an ad campaign.
  • To elevate the visibility and knowledge of specific partners and managers in the firm, we have provided brainstorming for speaking and public relations, including pitching and ghostwriting articles for business and trade publications, including Accounting Today, R&D World and Business Alabama magazine.
  • Our templates, recommended tools and processes help the firm create efficiencies in their marketing as well as consistent branding and lead generation.


Since we began working with Anglin as their outsourced marketing agency, Anglin named a new firm managing partner and promoted several professionals to management roles. They are also primed for independent growth through their niche services and potential future acquisitions.
